Organization settings
Business name, time zone, logo and the wording on your quotes. Payment terms are set per Invoice, not here.
Before you start
This pane holds what is true about your business, and nothing that belongs to a document.
| Setting | What it affects |
|---|---|
| Business name | Quote PDFs, and how your Org is named throughout. |
| Time zone | Where your day starts. The audit log is stamped in it. |
| Logo | Quote PDFs. |
| Quote tagline | A line under the heading on a quote. |
| Quote footer note | The small print at the bottom of a quote. |
Payment terms are not here. Due is a field on the Invoice — “Due (days)”, 30 unless you change it — because a Client on different terms for one job is an ordinary thing and a global default cannot express it.
Invoice numbering is not here either. Stripe numbers Invoices, because Stripe issues them.
Steps
- Open Settings › Organization.
- Edit what you need. Changes are saved together.
- Time zone is worth setting first — the audit log has been stamping in it since the day the Org was made, and a wrong one makes every timestamp read oddly.
Good to know
Can’t find a setting? Search. The Settings screen has a search field, on every platform. It matches the pane’s name and what the pane is for, so “passkey” finds Your sign-in and “Pax8” finds Integrations.
Settings is split in two. Organization settings — everything above, plus Team, Roles, Integrations and Export — belong to the Org and are the same for everybody. Device settings, like Notifications and Tap to Pay on iPhone, belong to the iPhone or Mac in your hand.
Editing Organization settings needs a Role holding the organization permission.
