Quotes
Turn an accepted Quote into billing
Converting a Quote makes its recurring lines a subscription and its one-time lines a draft Invoice. Nothing is retyped.
Before you start
A Quote is a proposal. Converting it is the moment it becomes something that bills.
One Quote can produce both outcomes at once, and which line becomes which is decided by the line itself:
- Recurring lines become the Client’s Recurring Billing — a Stripe subscription.
- One-time lines become a draft Invoice in Stripe.
A converted Quote is locked. It is the record of what was agreed, so it stops being editable.
Steps
- Open Sales › Quotes and find the accepted Quote.
- Choose Convert. The confirmation names what will happen for this Client — the recurring lines, the one-time lines, or both.
- Confirm.
- The one-time lines arrive as a draft Invoice, so you can look at it before it is issued.
- The Quote’s status becomes Converted.

Good to know
A Client has one Recurring Billing, whatever the cycles are. Adobe billed annually alongside everything else billed monthly is one subscription with items on different intervals — not two subscriptions. Converting a Quote with mixed cycles adds to the one that exists.
Converting does not send anything. The draft Invoice is yours to review and issue.
